Yesterday we harvested the last of our honey for the season.
So far our bees have yielded over 60 lbs of honey.
Not bad for our first year keeping bees at the Harvest House.
Happy Wednesday, brave ones. We hope it's sweet.

Very cool! What do you do with all the honey? We love honey, but not sure we could eat 60 pounds in a year! :-)
s, so far we've given it away. we've also used a small bit at home on our toast and in our tea. but overall, we've given away to friends and family. this batch we hope to sell some and use for christmas gifts!
Awesome! Why did you go with a box hive and not a top bar? Just curious--hoping to get bees in the spring and I enjoy hearing about people's hives!
So, what happens to the bees now? I have developed a new fascination with bee-keeping since y'all started doing this- love your blog!
sixty pounds! do you sell the honey locally? do you make anything with the beeswax?
One day, when I have a back yard... there will be bees! You've inspired me!
