{Gratitude} Lately

Friday, November 22, 2013

Lately I've been thankful for Louisville's charm and the city I call home.

For roasted tomato soup with homemade croutons.

For socks that stay on and fascination with the simple things.

For familiar mugs on our harvest table and $2 bottles of maple syrup.

For urban farm life and the way our animals make us laugh.

For this part of my daily walk and the humbling conversations we have.

For homemade salsa verde with our homegrown tomatoes and chilies from our neighbors garden.
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
What have you been thankful for lately?

working with pretty life-passionate folk, steady fall rains to help ward off drought threats to tree planting next spring, and pumpkin pie clif bars.

I am grateful for the time I get to spend with my sweet niece and her parents; ...for gray November afternoons; ...for reminders how beautiful life is; ... and for yummy Christmas cookies!
Happy weekend :)

I am grateful for blogs that remind me that I need to live more genuinely (ahem...yours!); for my husband's job that is exactly what he needs; for being able to go to nursing school and become what God needs me to be; three beautiful children who have blessed my life immensely.....and countless other blessings that I don't deserve but will forever be indebted to God for.

I'm grateful for a husband who willingly attempts to execute any recipe I throw at him, graduate school classes that challenge me, classmates with whom I can laugh, celebrate, and commiserate, and Thanksgivukkah - which can't come soon enough!

beautiful simplicity.

I'm thankful for a job that gives me new challenges and free yoga classes, and a man who's been unpacking and organizing our house every night this week while I watch and catch up on work. The little things!

Oh myyy! For a best that comes over early in the morning to deliver coffee & doughnuts. For cherished walks around a beautiful neighborhood. For a health babe that loves life. For simple truths that point us to peace. For you.

Thankful for my healthy *almost* one month old son. For my boyfriend's new job that will allow him to be home for dinner and have three day weekends. For my dogs who crack me up when they play in the yard. For the previously mentioned boyfriend that works his behind off so I can be a stay at home mom. For my mom, who helps me with random things and lets me steal her powdered sugar.

For little reminders that we part part of a bigger story. And for other ones that say our small story matters. For my parents, whose help I could not do without. For holidays and the ties that bind us.
