Dear Timothy James, lately you've been thumbing through our chicken book shopping for spring chicks. I love that you love chickens as much as I love bees. Dear Little, so far your growth has caused me to A) purchase new boobie baskets B) eat an entire jar of olives on the way home from the store C) vacuum the basement or D) all of the above. Pregnant women should come with a warning label. Dear Hannah & Jesse, blogging has allowed us to meet and make many lifelong friends. Looking forward to hosting you at Harvest House B&B this weekend! Dear Mr. Loerke (who always gets two letters), you just took laundry and parenting to a whole new level of sexy. The end.

Did you have any cravings during pregnancy? I've been living off of pickles, eggs & San Pellegrino!

Oh mama! My first pregnancy all I wanted was a 10 lb bag of oranges cut into wedges, a gallon of milk and a package of fig newtons all at once. Second one brought me back to meat eating; the spicier the food the better! Enjoy the ride, and congratulations to you both!

It wasn't that my cravings were weird - but the combination of things I wanted at the same time was weird. For example, Kraft Mac & Cheese and pancakes. And then lumpia and this particular local salad.

Hooray for new boobie baskets! At the conclusion of breastfeeding I required new ones as well... But not in the size direction I had hoped :)

During my first trimester I was all about carrots & hummus. That's all I really wanted to eat! Now that I'm 35 weeks I just want jalapeños on EVERYTHING & apples with every meal! Pregnancy should 100% come with a warning label!

When I was pregnant with my daughter Rachel, I wanted onions. I hated onions previously but was ravenous for onions sautéed in butter. I wanted pancakes morning, noon and night with the boys. And peaches. Funny what you crave, isn't it?

Ditto on the San Pellegrino. I called it my "white wine of pregnancy." Also, watermelon, and cucumbers with ranch dressing. Today my son could take a whole watermelon down if given the chance (he's one), so I've passed it down, apparently.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I craved the foods I loved as a kid --- namely, Spaghetti-Os with meatballs and Pops corn cereal. Now the thought of those foods make me gag bit.

Congrats to you three! Lucky baby.

Slurpees & fresh raspberries bathed in milk sprinkled with sugar. Yum! That Rowan's a beaut! He may have single-handedly helped me to put a little speck of hope of having another little in my husband's heart. Him and the baby on youtube that crys when his momma sings. :)

Milke, cereal and anything Mexican. About 2 weeks from my due date I wanted nothing but chocolate shakes and now my little girl loves ice cream :)

I didn't really have cravings (apparently if you're vegetarian, you're less likely to get them!?). However I did have to eat little and often - like, really often - during the 1st trimester to keep my strength up. I was incredibly exhausted, way more exhausted during pregnancy then when the babe arrived!!

I craved cantaloupe and would eat three a day towards (it was in season - yum!) the end of my pregnancy. To this day my son will eat cantaloupe over anything except a dum-dum sucker.

Love this post : ). First pregnancy all I could stomach in anything that came close to resembling protein was Taco Bell soft tacos...and I craved them like you wouldn't believe! Good thing they're not hard on the pocket book!

So excited for you!

with the boys it was slurpees and peanut butter & olive sandwiches. Crazy right?! With my 3rd one I craved Wendy's frosties.

Salt and vinegar chips!

Those pickles will come in handy your third trimester when your heartburn gets crazy! I declined any heartburn meds. Pickles and pickle juice at three in the morning helped me survive!

So sweet :)

My first pregnancy, I only craved Caramilk bars. My second pregnancy I was all over the board. The weirdest craving I had was a McDonald's double cheeseburger, but only the bite with the pickle in it. The rest went to my hubby. And I don't even eat pickles normally!

I am 23 weeks right now and I can't get enough clementines and green grapes! I've been spooning peanut butter quite a bit, too.
Congratulations and have fun with it!

I'm due in April as well (with my first!), and I crave sour candy. All. Day. Long. I once ate an amount so alarming I thought I was having a heart attack, which is the exact moment I learned sour candy is also very acidic and causes heart burn. Now I try to limit my intake. ; )

Oranges, peanut butter, milk, and eggs!

I never really ate peanut butter or drank milk before my pregnancy, but dang. I WAS MISSING OUT.

There were also some nights where I felt that someone would die if I didn't get a double cheeseburger from McDonald's or two chalupas from Taco Bell.

McDonald's chocolate shakes (in 2003/2004 before they messed with a good thing and added whipped cream). I probably needed the calcium. Or so I rationalized at the time. *grin*
