{Gratitude} Lately

Sunday, December 08, 2013

Lately I've been thankful for $5 chicken sweaters and 65° days in December.

For freshly cut trees and borrowed saws from sweet old ladies.

For dirty paws and dried lavender from our garden.

For a husband who's playful and for magnifEYED blue peepers.

For Hario kettles and friends to make coffee for.

And for freshly fallen snow and River who seems to bomb half the photos I take.
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
What have you been thankful for lately?
Happy Sunday, brave ones!

For watching friends open the gifts you give them, for seeing White Christmas at the old theater and waking up to fresh snow the next morning, for hot soup and grilled cheese, for black and white family photos, and for bloggers that remind me to be grateful!

For my Autistic 3 year old boy who has shown me how to be more patient and understanding. For my daughter who believes with her whole 5 year old heart in Santa and all his miracles. For above 15 degrees in December in Alaska. For hot coco dates with my kids on the patio as snow falls. For Charlie Brown Christmas trees, so by time you decorate it, it's beautiful . And for my deployed husband who makes everything in our lives possible and enough for us! Happy Holidays!!!! - Kimberly.

I'm thankful for encouragement throughout finals week. For friends who offer coffee, snuggles and crocheting lessons. For a Twenty One Pilots album and for a family that will be together at Christmas! Thank you, Tim and Emily for setting an example of gratitude!

I'm thankful for my car that hates snow but lets me driver her anyway, for my grandma who has an awesome sense of christmas ornaments and has inspired a new collection of mine, and for hot cocoa & warm blankets on chilly nights.

Lately I have been thankful for...

Good coffee and British comedies on Saturday mornings, being able to watch my baby sister graduate college yesterday, not stressing my hair out about affording Christmas for the bairns, and the way WV mountains look all dressed up in white.

Loerkes! I'm getting ready to buy my first pair of bean boots and I need to know 1. Thinsulate or no and 2. Gore text or no? We finally have snow in Cincinnati this year and I need to keep my feets dry! Thanks for your help :)

In love with that CHICKEN SWEATER! Also, I am thankful for your gratitude lately segments. I teach high school english and for Thanksgiving, I had my students commit to memory the sentiment "Gratitude makes everything enough." Thank you for that. Your goodness and influence reaches far and wide, my friend. Thank you!!

The craziness that is three of our four birthdays falling in December, along with Christmas spread out among three states. Busy makes me keep it simple. And I'm grateful for lessons in simplicity.
