Dear Timothy James, yesterday I took a floral arranging class and came home with this. I can't remember half of the flowers I used but the Harvest House smells amazeballs. Thank you for always encouraging me in my endeavors to try new things! Dear Airbnb Guests from Tennessee, you brought home bones for our pup, overpaid us for the 10 pints of homemade jam and pickles you bought, and left us a stack of parenting magazines in the loft. Your thoughtfulness humbled the sheet out of us. Dear Student Loans, when I graduated from college 12 years ago making your payments seemed like draining the ocean with an eye dropper. This morning you were paid in full and all I wanna do is skinny dip. #grateful Dear Mr. Loerke, yesterday you installed our car seat, put together the stroller, and folded baby onsies the size of a tortilla. And I've never seen you happier. #letsdothis

Happy Monday, brave ones! What are your favorite flowers? I fell in love with lilacs and bay leaves yesterday!

I love lilacs, but I think fresh-picked wisteria (even though it is technically invasive) is my all-time favorite smell. It's intoxicating.

I adore tulips, Lily of the Valley, anemones, and eucalyptus. I know eucalyptus ins't technically a flower, but it smells soooo good in an arrangement.

Happy baby preparations!!

Also, I want to come stay at your AirBNB so much! It looks so relaxing. Just what I need!

I am going to agree with the wisteria in Emily's comment. Love it. And daffodils - they are so bright and cheery, and they are always one of the first signs that spring and warm weather are close!

Congrats on paying off your student loans! We are only three years out of college and I can't wait for that day... I hope you celebrate tonight!

White lillies!

After working in a greenhouse for 5 years, it's so hard to choose favorites, but I guess I'll have to go with lilacs as they remind me of my grandparent's homestead and rudebekia (black-eyed susans)....because they are just so cheery. Congrats on the student loans! My husband and I paid off mine two years ago and what a sweet victory it is!

Ps. My hubbub and I will be graduating this year... 12 years sounds like a long time, indeed, but hearing that you were able to do it anyways gives me a ray of hope ;)

Favorite flowers? Peonies. Final answer! They are just so beautiful.
Congrats on getting rid of your student loans! Hearing that it took you 12 years to pay them off makes me even more grateful for the (almost) free education we get here! But having accomplished that milestone right before the arrival of your sweet babe must be an amazin feeling.

stacy, bells are also a fave of mine bc of the way they look - those stickers though - ouch!

paulina & jessica, great picks!

colonel sanders, i do too! hard to believe we won't have any more payments to sallie mae. what a gift!

anony, lilacs and black eyed susans remind me of my grandma and lake house in arkansas. both are beautiful flowers!

Congratulations on paying off your student loans... that must be so freeing! I just graduated with my master's degree this past December, and my payments start this May. You describe the payback perfectly: emptying an ocean with an eyedropper!
