{Husband's Letters}

Dear Emmagizer Bunny, the day before you went into labor you were helping me lay bricks and shovel 4 tons of gravel in our backyard. You outworked me and didn't complain once. Thank you for doing everything you do with joy. As a man, this challenges me greatly. Dear Molly, Bek, & Whit, you all are the A-Team! Thank you for helping my sweet wife labor for 29 hours and for bringing peace to a stressful time. You helped Em in ways only women can. Dear Brave, one of my favorite things to do with you is kangaroo care. This photo was taken just hours after you were born. Hearing your sweet gentle breaths for the first time made me melt. I'm so proud to be your Papa! Dear Bride, yesterday we celebrated our 9th anniversary with take out pizza, Bell's Two Hearted, and Grater's ice-cream in bed. Watching you pick crumbs out of Brave's hair and ears while you nursed made her 9 year arrival worth the wait.

Happy Thursday, brave ones! Many of you have asked why we decided to name our baby Brave Richmond Loerke. We will be answering that question soon in an upcoming post!

So beautiful and so happy for both of you lovely parents! A few comments you've made have made me wonder if you had a long journey to becoming parents. I absolutely respect that this was something you didn't share with the whole interwebs, but whatever the reason for your wait, know that your story and beautiful pictures are inspiring me in my wait. Thank you.

I remember one of the first times I ventured out with Cameron and allowed myself to indulge in a scone while out to coffee with mamas and babies. I looked down and cam's head was covered in crumbs. Ha!

This picture melts my heart. Although I don't know either one of you I am certain that the two of you will make wonderful parents to little Brave. She is one lucky little lady to have you.

happy aniversary. I hope Miss Brave reads these letters someday. You should consider a shutterfly book of these posts as a family keepsake. Ive been reading your blog for years and never heard your testimony until a week or so ago..i was rivited. You guys are " game changers" as i like to call it. Branching off from the norm on both family trees and creating a beautiful influential LEGACY oh how i condone you all. Bravo. And now this new little Brave Branch has shot out (29hrs later) and has made things complete. Well done Tim and Emily!!!!! you all have made a very wonderful sweet gift and you have so much to celebrate!!! my love and hand claps , rachel

LOVE you three!

Em ~ So proud of you ... you are such a champ! Brave will know heart, persistence, and love from you. Can't wait to hear more of the birth story.

Tim ~ So, so happy you have a darling little lady in your life. From what I hear from DJ, being a Dad to a girl is a joy like none other. Your role is so important, and I'm so glad that Brave has you to be her Daddy to walk her through life.

Brave ... I love you already. You are one blessed girl. I cannot wait to meet you. And kiss your sweet little face.

xoxo,

Aunt Nessa
