{Today's Letters} Welcome Brave Richmond Loerke!

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

{Born April 25th at 9:14am : 7lbs 5oz : 19" long}

Dear Timothy James, after 29 hours of labor we finally got to meet our sweet little girl. I'm so proud of you for helping deliver Brave and for making all of us laugh when you announced we were having a boy. Silly umbilical cord. Dear Brave Richmond Loerke, each morning whenever I hear our rooster crow I say to myself, "We made it." Thanks for reminding me to take each day one day at a time. It's one of the many gifts your tiny self has given me so far. Dear Self, you are a mama! Something you weren't sure you'd ever get to experience. #bestadventureyet Dear Mr. Loerke, the past few days you've celebrated each successful latch, every ounce of expressed milk, and my first poop as if I had summited Mt. Everest. Your support has been better than a DD nursing bra filled with extra breast pads for my super soakers.

Thank you all for your love and support these past few days! To say we've been overwhelmed and greatly encouraged by your prayers, comments, and packages would be an understatement.
We. Are. Truly. Blessed.
:: HE IS FAITHFUL ::

Love this post. And love even more that you guys are parents! Miss Brave is adorable and I can only imagine the adventures you will have. Keep celebrating all the little moments and writing down all of the "firsts." While I'm sure we all love posts, please feel free to go MIA for awhile so you can rest and take it all in! Congrats over and over again.

Welcome to the world Brave! After seeing all the cute pictures on insta I've been impatiently waiting for your first letter about little B. She really is so beautiful! Congratulations!
May I ask how you decided on the name Brave? It's a beautiful but very unique (at least to me as a German) name and I was just wondering what the story behind it was. I do realize that this is a pretty personal question so just ignore it if you don't want to answer it :)
Wishing you all the best for your little family of three.

Congratulations to you! It has been fun to watch your journey. My husband Jeff and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year, with one miscarriage in December. I'm finding it so hard to wait and let go of control and trust in God's timing. I don't know your story of pregnancy... if it took a long time or not, but either way... such a blessing.

Yay! Congratulations! Be gentle with yourself. You are doing great. Take lots of pictures . . . early parenthood can be a bit "blurry" when you look back on it. Blessings.

Been waiting and praying for a safe delivery and healthy for you three. Enjoy each sleep-deprived moment. Mine just turned 6 and nearly 4. It zooms by faster than you can breathe. Now begins the prayer for sleeping through the night!

Congratulations and good work! Labor and birth awakens something within you that you didn't know existed. As for the supersoakers.... I have some too. I prayed for a land flowing with milk and honey and boy, were we blessed. My sister and I have been chatting and anxiously awaiting brave's arrival like you are our sister too. Hold that baby. Love that baby. She will certainly spoil you.

I have followed you for years and when you announced your pregnancy, I was as excited as though you were my best friend. Motherhood/parenthood is a true adventure not for the faint of heart, but only for those who are in it selflessly. I truly believe you and your Mr. are.
Many blessings to you, Tim, and sweet Brave.
Welcome to the club!
Much love from the desert southwest!
