Dear Mr. Loerke, this weekend I learned you like to ride a tiller like a tricycle. Reason #284 why boy roommates are AWESOME. Dear Old Bricks, finding you in the alleyways of our neighborhood was like hunting for Easter eggs. Even though you didn't taste like chocolate, free landscaping is sweet. Dear Mike, last week you greeted Rowan, River and I outside of Quills, and based on how you were dressed I thought you were homeless. Turns out we are neighbors, both have yellow labs, and like to grow black cherry tomatoes and eat purple basil. Thanks for humbly reminding me at age 33 to not judge people based on their appearance. Dear Timothy James, Goonies has been my favorite movie since I fell in love with my first Cyndi Lauper cassette and was old enough to live off of Fruit Roll-ups and episodes of The Cosby Show. When you told me they were making a sequel I almost died. Scratch that. Goonies never say die.

First cassette tape? Don't know what one is? Watch THIS. It will make you feel OLD. Happy Wednesday, brave ones!

I think my first cassette of my very own was the Spice Girls but before you disown me - my Dad had a cassette of Hotel California by The Eagles - I would put it on, then at the end I'd flip it over, rewind it and start it again!!

My husband calls me "bylaw Val" and on a similar note: is riding a tiller safe?
I think I'm just a concerned citizen ;)
Tapes! OMgoodness. I must call my older brother and apologize for listening to Tiffany over and over again!
Wishing you a happy month :)

Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer...Too Legit To Quit... And that's how I would describe my beautiful 38 week pregnant wife who goes foraging for bricks in the alley ways of Louisville, KY...and then line the backyard to make a colorful border for our gravel. So blessed! So amazed! She keeps getting more attractive as this pregnancy continues on. 2 more weeks, babe!!!

I love it! Score on the bricks.

I'm hoping they get the old cast to be in the movie somehow.

I miss cassettes too.

It was 1989: the fall of the Berlin Wall... and I had seen David Hasselhoff on TV - so all I wanted, was a cassette tape with "looking for freedom"... and I got one!

Van Halen. the Album was 1984. Jump was the hit song. I bought it at the Dreamland Flea Market in Asheville, NC (bootleg of course). Listened to it all summer on my knock off Walkman "bought" with Sand H Green Stamps. For clarification, yes, I had a mullet. And Yes, my neck be red. Did I mention the bandana tied around the thigh of my acid wash jeans?

I think my own personal first cassette tape was Hanson... I can remember calling in to a radio station in our small, small town for them to play a Hanson song on my birthday and after they did, they apologized to all the listeners. (It was an "easy listening" station) After that, my parents bought me the tunes for myself.
