{Husband's Letters}

Dear Emma, lately you have reminded me of the importance of self-care by getting outside and exercising. I am grateful for your encouragement to be a better man! Dear Brave, you like to pretend you're sleeping whenever the sun is in your eyes. I think this is a neat trick. Dear Papa, you look like a man of the wild seas with your long hair. I can't wait for you to visit next month. Dear Number One Encourager, thank you for loving me well during our 10 day West Coast road trip by reminding me to choose peace and humility over fear and pride. I am the man I am today because of your honest words. I love you!

Happy Thursday! After visiting Oregon Em and I both agreed we could live there. Portland especially captured our hearts! If you could live anywhere in the US where would it be?

I visited Boston in August of 2013 for a long weekend and I have been dying to go back. From time to time I search for jobs in Boston. I haven't found one yet, but I'm hopeful.

Bend, Oregon for sure! We went there 4 months ago for our honeymoon and didn't want to leave! Your trip made me pine for Oregon again.

I haven't visited that many cities in the US yet but Colorado will forever hold a special place in my heart so right now I would choose Boulder, CO.

I LOVED Portland when I lived near there! However, it was a little bit too overcast for my likings... So I think I would choose Bend, Oregon!

I just moved to Portland, Oregon last year and it really is the most amazing place to be. The city itself is beautiful with fig, pear, apple trees, vegetables and herbs growing in the neighborhoods. Beautiful and a large variety of trees and flowers, all the houses are different, the food is delicious, people are friendly, dogs are welcome everywhere, it's bike friendly…the list goes on and on. And drive an hour or less whichever way and you will find yourself by the coast, under a waterfall, on a mountain…it really can't be beat. This place is magical!

Portland! We lived there back in 1997 and we are currently considering a move back next year. Following your photos of your recent trip has almost convinced us to make the move!

Come to Boulder! I show you good time ;) All jokes aside, I love living in Boulder, CO, and think you would too! I recently went to Telluride, which was amazing.

Top cities include Boston, St. Augustine and Boulder, for sure.
