Dear Mr. Loerke, this weekend I learned that "aspirate" is a fancy word for choke. I also learned that brisket is smoked at 45 minutes per pound. I love the things you teach me. Dear Brave, sometimes I lay you on the kitchen floor when I'm cooking dinner. River likes to lick you like a Popsicle, but I tell myself it's a fair trade for getting to cook with both of my hands. Dear Bean Boots, after getting you new laces and resoled this summer I can't wait to start wearing you again. Well loved > buying new. Dear Timothy James, yesterday's errands looked more like dropping me off places while you drove around in circles to keep our offspring asleep. {Insert new understanding for rolled stop signs here}.

Happy Tuesday! What's something new you've learned lately?

My dog, Tucker, also loves to lick little Sam and Sam doesn't mind it a bit! Live and let live, I say.

I've recently learned that vinegar and water is a good combination to naturally keep insects {namely spiders} away.

That baby Brave is getting darling-er and darling-er and I would love to hold her!!
By word of mouth and not experience-- that ant and roach spray (for outside) will get rid of pesty spiders that like to congregate at the front door!

lol I once drove the Walmart parking lot for 20 minutes while waiting for the Hubs to pick up a few things because a little girl refused to stop screaming in a parked car. This same little girl now walks up to our dog open mouthed for a kiss. Babes + Dogs = best combo ever :)

Something I've been learning is a new outlook on depression, suicide, and the Christian life. I've been learning to truly understand that God's grace is FOUND in weakness, not in taking weakness away.
I wrote about it, actually:
