Dear Timothy James, the other day I left our front door wide open and forgot to add baking soda to my applesauce spice cake. Thank you for being patient with my sleep deprived brainbox. Dear Lack of Sleep, sometimes you make me want to pour coffee directly into my eyeballs. That's all. Dear Pumpkin Thief, whenever I see another pumpkin missing off of our front porch I tell myself you've been busy making me a pie. With homemade maple whipped cream. And a crust as thick as your head. Dear Husband, afternoon bath time with Brave has become one of the sweetest parts of my day. Thank you for taking this photo, even though it looks like she has a unibrow like Nicholas Cage.

Happy Wednesday, brave ones! Speaking of pie ... what's your favorite fall pie??

My little one is 3 months and I too left the front door wide open - so glad I am not the only one! haha. I thought I had gone mad.

It's a combination of pie and cake: Apple Pie Cake!

Thinly slicked apples with a crumble crust and crumble topping. LORD HAVE MERCY! Amazing.

Definitely pecan pie! And somebody stole the last of our watermelons straight from our garden a few weeks ago!!! Maybe they are making me a watermelon-y treat?!

Look at those dreamy arm rolls! She is precious.

Hmm apple crisp is probably my favorite fall dessert but a pumpkin pie with pecans is pretty delish! :) Ahh, dessert.

Look at those dreamy arm rolls! ;) Love it, she is precious.

Hmm apple crisp with some vanilla ice cream is hard to beat, but sweet potato pie with pecans is pretty delish!

Oh how I love the seasons of dessert. ;)

While I was pregnant with my now five and a half month old I would get out of the car and leave it running for hours at home, at my moms in a parking lot... Happened three times...a lot of pollution and wasted money on my brain mush incidents. Praise God no one ever stole our van...hubby may not have been as patient with me if that had happened.
Emily, I have to say I am always looking forward to a new post from you and your family. My husband and I enjoy them and are encouraged by them, we really like to do the weekly interview as well. Thanks for listening to what God places on your heart. Obedience is pure love.

There is a pumpkin thief on the northern side of the river as well. Hopefully he or she will bring both of us pies!

Replace evil for good! Why not set a pumpkin pie next to a pumpkin on your porch with a sign that says 'To Our Pumpkin Thief'?
I'm with your sister!! Your sense of humor is splendid!
And Brave is a lucky little one to have such devoted, loving parents!
