{Happy Martin Luther King Day!}

Monday, January 19, 2015

For the past six years we've celebrated Martin Luther King day with friends by cooking his favorite meal. {Fried Chicken, Sweet Potato Casserole, Macaroni & Cheese, Green Beans, & Pecan Pie}
We also try and watch a movie or documentary about MLK's efforts to end racial segregation.
If you haven't seen The Butler or 12 Years As A Slave we highly recommend them both!
This year Selma is at the top of our list to see.
As far as food goes, this year was our best fried chicken yet!
{Reason #73 why one should always save their peanut oil from the holidays}
YUM CITY.
Happy Monday, brave ones!
We hope your MLK day is memorable and inspiring.
