{Gratitude Lately}

Monday, August 01, 2016

Lately I've been thankful for flowers that remind me of family.

For standing steady as the stars in the woods.

For a peaceful night of rest here.

For the happiness that comes from eating matos off the vine.

And for the simple things that make this house feel like home.
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
Happy Monday, ya'll.
What have you been thankful for lately?

I am thankful for evening naps with our pup. For vacations where you realize God is using you to help others more than He is giving you a rest - stretching us into better people. For the hope of Fall and all things spiced and orange.

I'm thankful for new jobs, thrifted industrial spools turned into end tables, husbands who work all day and then come home and put the fixer in "fixer upper", the smell of a freshly painted room, and a cloudy day with an outdoor temp of less than 100 degrees!

I'm thankful for a marriage of ten years, it's been so fun that it seems like we just got married.
And a little anniversary gift, that turns 8 on the same day. It's a day full of celebration!
