{Wind River Range} Wyoming

Tuesday, September 06, 2016

Last week I spent 8 days in the Wind River Range backpacking in Wyoming.
This was by far my most favorite back country trip yet!
We hiked 60-70 miles, starting at the Elk Hart Trailhead and ending at Green River Lakes.
My favorite memories included: catching a golden trout, learning more about true friendship, understanding at a greater depth how I can be mastered by food, the importance of being calm when confronted with danger, and the gift of solitude in the midst of God's creation.
Where's the most beautiful place you've ever camped / backpacked?
I'm already working on planning next year's trip!
Hope y'all had a great Labor Day weekend!

Sounds like an amazing trip trip! My favorite hikes have all taken place in the Colorado Rockies and I have to say these parts of the Rockies will forever hold a special place in my heart :)

My favorite places are probably a tie between Gold Bug Hot Springs in Idaho and the Scapegoat Wilderness in Montana. I love being away from people and far away from light pollution to have an uninterrupted view of the stars.

I haven't officially "backpacked" there but we took a hike to the Savica Waterfall in Slovenia, Europe. Most beautiful views ever.

Stunning photos. Nothing like hiking trips that teach lessons as well as fill your adventure bucket! Glad you guys had such a great time.
