{Gratitude Lately} Papi Edition

Thursday, November 03, 2016

Lately I've been thankful for opportinities to watch my dad slide into Brave's bedtime routine.

For visits to the Groce Family Farm.

For sweet reminders to stay faithful and work hard.

For a day hunting Muskie together.

And for afternoons spent playing sleeping babies with Cindy Lauper.
Last week my sweet dad re-grouted our shower, tightened our tub knobs, fixed our gate, set mouse traps in our basement, seasoned our cast iron skillets,
cooked us countless homemade meals, took Bravey on nature walks,
and let me nap in the car while driving to the lake at 4:30am.
Beyond grateful for the ways he loved and served Tim, Brave, and I last week.
Redemption and restoration in relationships is sweet, y'all.

What a beautiful post. Sometimes God uses your words to remind me of blessings in my life. I love the redemption and restoration comment. My relationship with my dad was bad growing up and now it's beautiful. Remembering what God has done in our lives and relationships is so important. Thank you for reminding me of His work in my own life by sharing yours. (Also, sorry I always write too much. Haha)

I love the redemption and restoration words you used. I'm hoping the same thing can happen in my family. These pictures are so sweet!

My Dad is the same. We recently bought our first home and every week he has off (he works 3 weeks on, 1 week off) he comes up to do something whether it's paint the hallway, mow my yard, tear down an old shed, or install toddler locks on the cabinets--he makes me feel humbled, SO loved, and very grateful.

Cheers to you and yours for the upcoming weekend!
XO
