{A November Tradition}

Thursday, November 09, 2017

My dad always taught us to plant paperwhites in November so they would be in full bloom for Christmas.
Today the tradition was passed on to Brave who has affectionately renamed them "paper wipes"
Fa ra ra ra ra ...
Happy Thursday, ya filthy animals.

These three ... heart of my heart!
Nothing better than kicking off a Saturday morning with leaf angels.

{Gratitude Lately} Coop de Ville Edition

Tuesday, November 07, 2017

Lately we've been thankful for our first pullet eggs.

For coop swings that give our chicken wrangler another excuse to play outside.

For chicken cuddles with Cluck Norris.

And for a sense of humor I inherited from my dad.
Happy Tuesday, y'all!

Happy November 1st everybody!
They day we get to eat our kid's Halloween candy for breakfast and our chickens fest on
smashed street pumpkins courtesy of the tweens in our neighborhood.

Fishing with our friend Patrick on the SOHO is a blast. every. single. time.
Too many browns to count with fall temps ranging from 55-75 and pickles for the pregnant lady.
Couldn't ask for anything better!

{A Weekend With Papi}

There's nothing quite like watching your 70 yr old dad A) get his toes painted B) beard brushed
C) cast a muskie rod D) and dress up like Captain Hook.
I love my family!
Here's to a dad who shows me that living should be an awfully big adventure, to a husband who reminds me to never grow up, and to a daughter who helps me embrace pixie dust!
Happy {almost} Halloweenie, y'all.

{A Memorable Day on the Davidson}

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Last weekend Moll's and I somehow managed to pull over 30 large sized bows out of a honey hole
on the Davidson.
Days like these come once every couple of years!
A great way to end our annual fall road trip.
Happy Wednesday, y'all!

{The Harvest House}

One of the reasons we moved to Kentucky was to experience four real season again.
We love fall and we love our home!
It's been a place where many of us have gathered and received seeds of grace and forgiveness.
As much as we love it, we know it can be gone in an instant ... for now we'll take each day in it as a gift.
Here's to gratitude and the time of year when we feel most content!
Happy weekend, brave ones.
