Dear Timothy James, you're a 35 yr old dad who still goes sledding at night with your dudes. Cousin Eddie and I couldn't be more proud. Dear Cash, we'd walk the line with you anytime. Come back and play soon! PS- Brave & River are still looking for you under the couch. Dear Beyonce, I heard there was a football game at your concert last night. You ran that mother. Dear Mr. Loerke, this weekend I drove your Jeep and found these in your visor. Not sure if they're from work or the river or both. Either way, I'm a lucky girl.

Happy Monday, errrrbody! Did you watch the Superbowl last night? We were in bed before 10pm. Sometimes #momlife makes you value sleep more than 7 layer dip and Drake commercials

Where are you headed that has you shimmying across the hardwoods in your Smartwools?

Sometimes you'll spend an hour carrying snowballs while looking for your
neighbor's cat in the alley before dinner.

Dear Timothy James, our date night had me singing glory, glory, fried chicken hallelujah! Thank you from the bottom of my pimento cheese grits for taking me out Fry-day. Dear Brave, I knew you were mine forever when you dug a cookie wrapper out of the trash and starting licking the sprinkles off the kitchen floor. #thestruggleisreal Dear Polar Vortex, after four days of frozen pipes our dishwasher finally cried uncle and flooded the kitchen and basement. Thankful for sweet neighbors who show up with bags of bottled water and a side of moral support. Dear Mr. Loerke, after almost eleven years of marriage you still still lay on my side of the biscuit so it's warm when I crawl into bed. Reason #286 why I adore you.

Happy Saturday, y'all! What are you looking forward to this weekend?

{Gratitude Lately} Snowhere Edition

Tuesday, January 19, 2016

Lately I've been thankful for 2 new ricks of wood and the seasons first snow.

For a rooster who doesn't give a cluck about cold temperatures.

For a trunk full of ice melt and time on the river.

And for quiet morning drives through Cherokee Park Narnia.
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
Happy Tuesday, y'all.
What have you been thankful for lately?

PS: Where do you go in a snow storm? SNOWHERE! Argh, argh, argh ...
